Unit 95 is the vision of Reece Nicholls, V Degree ITF, senior instructor of Poole Taekwon-Do Academy, one of the Trenic Taekwon-Do Academies. Unit 95 is located at the heart of the commercial centre in Poole to reach people of all ages and abilities and offer an opportunity to develop confidence, fitness and general health and wellbeing in an accessible, inclusive, welcoming and supportive environment.

Trenic Taekwon-Do Academies are members of UK ITF. UK ITF affords opportunities for members to participate in regional and national events, gaining confidence and experience within the national organisation. ITF
The International Taekwon-Do Federation under the Presidency of Choi Jung Hwa, son of the Founder of Taekwon-Do, Gen Choi Hong Hi, provides international ITF events, including seminars, International Instructor Courses, Umpire Courses, continental and world championships. Accreditation
UK ITF is a member of the British Taekwondo Council, the National Governing Body (NGB) for Taekwondo in the UK. BTC is one of the recognised bodies funded by Sport England. All UK ITF instructors hold NGB accreditation, Enhanced DBS, Safeguarding and First Aid qualifications.
Pro Taekwon (PTK) is UK ITF’s kickboxing syllabus. This programme has proven very popular in other Trenic clubs and has prepared and brought success to members who have engaged in kickboxing shows. This is a full contact activity. Students need to have their own hand wraps, gloves and headguards for safety and hygiene.
Our Boxing sessions are led by qualified and experienced instructors, some still actively training and competing.
Our Yiewsley Club, Uxbridge Amateur Boxing Club, is ABA-registered, with a solid crew of competitive members, one of whom is now part of the Olympic development programme.
As the Poole Club grows, we will seek to emulate this success.
Unit 95 will offer a variety of activities as our team develops over time, and we listen to our clients’ wants and needs. The plan includes early morning High Intensity Training sessions, Bag Blast, specific activities for diverse groups (female, children, young people, older people) … watch this space.
