Ruegg ready to put on 'masterclass' in Bournemouth bout

Bournemouth boxer Mace Ruegg promised to deliver a “masterclass display” as he returns to the ring in his hometown.

Having signed with promoter Steve Bendall, the undefeated lightweight is set to top the bill at the O2 Academy as part of Bendall’s Boxing Promotions Next Generation show on Saturday, April 6th.

A post on Ruegg’s Instagram read: “Bournemouth, I’m back boxing on home soil.

“Would love it if I can get some great support behind me for this fight, contact me for tickets.

“This one is not to be missed. Going to put a masterclass display on for you all cannot wait to box in front of my people again.”

Ruegg, 23, has an unblemished professional record of 10 victories from as many bouts.

His last contest was a six-round points victory over Honduras fighter Jayro Fernando Duran in Liverpool back in September.

Also pencilled in for the show is unbeaten heavyweight Caleb Johnson as well as Rayner Mason, Jake Clarke and Katie Smith.
