Bournemouth Town Centre BID appoints new Business Liaison Officer
Bournemouth Town Centre BID has appointed Tom Rogers as its new Business Liaison Officer to strengthen support for levy-paying businesses across the town centre.
The role focuses on building closer relationships with local businesses and ensuring they are aware of the support, initiatives and opportunities available through the BID.
Tom will act as a key point of contact for businesses across the BID area, visiting premises, gathering feedback and helping connect levy payers with services such as networking opportunities, marketing campaigns and town centre improvement initiatives.
The appointment comes as many town centre businesses continue to navigate economic pressures and changing consumer behaviour.
Tom joins the BID with experience in both the public and private sectors. In his previous role, he worked as an Economic Development Officer at Southwark Council, focusing on town centre improvements and business engagement. Prior to this, he spent several years working in the legal sector.
The former Bournemouth University student says he is looking forward to supporting the town’s business community.
"I’m really looking forward to meeting businesses across the town centre and hearing directly from them about the opportunities and challenges they face. Building strong relationships with levy payers is an important part of ensuring the BID continues to support the business community."
Ian Jones, Town Centre BID Board Director and Head of External Engagement at Bournemouth University, added:
"Having a dedicated Business Liaison Officer allows us to spend more time working directly with businesses and ensuring they feel supported."
