Frettens supports The Ellis Edwards Foundation
Frettens are now supporting The Ellis Edwards Foundation.
Frettens’ charity of the year
Each year, we choose a charity to support by raising funds and awareness and volunteering. All charities are nominated by staff members and need to be based in the BCP conurbation.
After a four year long successful partnership with MYTIME Young Carers, the team have chosen to support The Ellis Edwards Foundation, a local charity dedicated to helping children and families cope with the loss of a sibling or parent.
The Ellis Edwards Foundation
The grief experienced by siblings is often overlooked and the impact it can have is not always fully understood. The Ellis Edwards Foundation aims to relieve the emotional and psychological challenges of a child who has lost a sibling or parent to ensure they receive the care and support they need.
The organisation offers counselling to children battling anxiety, depression and other mental health challenges. It also provides respite activities to give families time and space to step away from grief. The charity supports healthy emotional development for bereaved children and aims to increase community awareness of childhood grief.
How will Frettens help?
To support this local charity, Frettens will sponsor and host fundraising events, raise awareness of the charity’s work and take part in volunteering days to help generate funds.
If you’re interested in getting involved or supporting the charity, please get in touch at events@frettens.co.uk.
