Individuality Swimming Makes a Splash with Four National Award Nominations

Dorset based swim school Individuality Swimming is riding a wave of celebration this week after being named as finalists in four categories at the prestigious Swimming Teachers Association (STA) Aquatic Excellence Awards 2025.

As one of the biggest and most established swim schools in Dorset, Individuality Swimming has been recognised on a national stage for its commitment to quality teaching, water safety, and the life-changing impact of its programmes, supporting hundreds of swimmers across the county every week.

Their shortlist includes:

• Gerard Maguire – Pool Plant Tutor of the Year
• Sarah Logue – Water Safety Educator of the Year
• Becky Dowling – Tutor of the Year
• Swim School Provider of the Year (Over 500 participants per week)

This impressive haul of nominations shines a spotlight on the passionate team behind Individuality Swimming, who work tirelessly to create a safe, supportive and fun environment for swimmers of all ages and abilities.

Founder and Director Gerard Maguire said the recognition is “a huge testament to the dedication, passion and excellence of our incredible team, changing lives through aquatics every single day.”

The winners will be announced at the STA’s Aquatic Excellence Awards ceremony later this year.
