UpTown Junk Wins Prestigious Regional Award for Furniture Upcycling

UpTown Junk, an independent furniture upcycling business based in Poole, is proud to announce that it has been awarded the South England Prestige Award for Furniture Upcycling Service of the Year 2025/26.
This recognition celebrates the business’s dedication to creativity, sustainability, and outstanding customer service.

Founded by Sonja Morgan, UpTown Junk began as a hobby in 2016 before growing into a professional venture in 2022. In just a few years, Sonja has built a thriving workshop, launched an e-commerce website, become a trusted stockist for eco-friendly ReColour recycled paints, British-made brushes, and Polyvine finishes, and established herself as a go-to expert for bespoke furniture transformations.

Her work has reached clients from Devon to Scotland, featured in national magazines, and even been purchased by a celebrity. Alongside commissions, Sonja runs a series of creative workshops that empower people to explore upcycling for themselves, supporting both confidence-building and mental wellbeing through creativity.
