The NSBRC Guide to Project Management (Live) — 17 October 2026

A one-day in-person course covering core project management skills for self-build and renovation projects, from budgeting to site management.

The NSBRC Guide to Project Management is a one-day course led by architect and experienced construction project manager Lucy Nylander. It provides a practical introduction to managing a homebuilding project, including budgeting, contracts, procurement and site management.

What the course covers

• Sequencing and programme management
• Budgeting, expenditure control, insurances, warranties and VAT reclaim
• Managing trades and materials, pricing, contract options and quality control
• Site preparation, health and safety, avoiding pitfalls and completion

Format: Live at the National Self Build & Renovation Centre (Swindon). Advanced booking is required.
