New Lewis-Manning House Clearance Shop Opens in Boscombe.

A brand-new charity shop has opened its doors in Boscombe, offering local residents the chance to shop sustainably while supporting vital hospice care across Dorset.

The latest retail venture from Lewis-Manning Hospice Care officially launched on Christchurch Road on Wednesday 4 March, with actor Matt Bardock cutting the ribbon to mark the occasion.

Located at 1143–1145 Christchurch Road, the House Clearance Shop is the fifth store in the charity’s growing retail network. The new shop will sell a wide range of pre-loved furniture, homeware and unique finds, all helping to fund Lewis-Manning’s specialist care and support for people living with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

The opening attracted supporters, volunteers and members of the local community who gathered to celebrate the new addition to the high street. The project also brought together several local businesses who helped transform the space ahead of its launch, including Bradlea Builders, MB Electrical, Talis Surveying and Frettens Solicitors.

The shop represents another step forward in Lewis-Manning’s mission to combine community support with sustainable shopping. By giving donated items a second life, the store not only helps reduce waste but also generates vital funds for the charity’s hospice services across Dorset.

Visitors can expect an ever-changing selection of pre-loved pieces, from furniture and décor to practical household items, making it a destination for both bargain hunters and environmentally conscious shoppers.

As with all Lewis-Manning retail outlets, every purchase made in the shop directly contributes to the charity’s work supporting patients and families during some of life’s most challenging moments.
