'Chaos' Cutler pulls off sublime victory to claim title

Dorset’s Lee Cutler sealed the biggest win of his professional career as he lowered the colours of previously unbeaten Stephen McKenna in Liverpool.

Victory saw the former Poole ABC fighter claim the WBC International Silver Super Welterweight title.

The man nicknamed Chaos triumphed on two of the three judges’ scorecards, the other scoring it a draw as the 28-year-old upset the odds at the Exhibition Centre.

Cutler, trained in the famous McGuigan gym by Josh Pritchard, knocked Irishman McKenna down twice in the contest.

The first saw McKenna take a knee in the opening round after a right hand to the head. Cutler then scored with another booming right before sending his opponent to the canvas once again in round seven.

Cutler, who celebrated by doing the worm in the ring after being announced the winner, told Sky Sports: “Chaos tonight! Absolutely loving it.

“I bullied the bully like I said I would and got the job done.

“There was no point running away from him because I could have done that, It would have been hard work because I know he’s a fit lad.

“But I know he can’t deal with a little bit of strength in front of him, a little bit of head movement.”

Cutler had said pre-fight interviews BOXXER promoter Ben Shalom has promised him a bout in Bournemouth, if he was to be successful against McKenna.
