Pirates deliver place in BSN Series final

Boss Neil Middleditch insisted his Poole Pirates team “more than delivered” as they cruised into the final of the BSN Series.

With a 26-point first-leg advantage over Oxford, Pirates sealed a 52-38 win on the night at Cowley, to record a 110-70 success overall.

Richard Lawson (14, pictured) continued his dazzling form, as well as Zach Cook (9+2) and Anders Rowe (9) once again in the points.

Middleditch said: “We came here to do a job and the lads have more than delivered."

It means Poole will take on either Glasgow Tigers or Redcar Bears in the final of the competition, having won the crown for the past two years.

Middleditch’s side are also still in contention to land another domestic treble this campaign, with the SGB Championship and Knockout Cup still up for grabs.
