Poole's Rowe voted Championship's most-improved rider

Poole Pirates ace Anders Rowe has been named the SGB Championship’s most improved rider, as voted for by fans.

The Weymouth-born charger helped Pirates land the league crown this season, as well as the Knockout Cup in the second tier.

He increased his average by 1.3 across the campaign to be one of the biggest improvers of 2025.

Rowe sealed the prize with 31 per cent of fans’ votes, ahead of former Pirate Drew Kemp (28), Oxford’s Luke Killeen (21) and Workington’s Jacob Hook (20).

Elsewhere, Dan Thompson was named Signing of the Season for his efforts with the Glasgow Tigers.

Jody Scott was voted as Young Rider of the Year ahead of Poole’s Will Cairns.

Former Pirate Chris Harris, now of Glasgow, was named the division’s Rider of the Year ahead of Poole’s Richard Lawson.
