Rowe will not return to Pirates in 2026 after joining Cheetahs

Anders Rowe will not be returning to Poole Pirates in 2026 after revealing he has signed for the Oxford Cheetahs.

The Weymouth-born racer, part of Poole’s double winning class of 2025, is set to be part of the Sandy Lane side’s line up next season.

Rowe averaged 7.57 as a Pirates last season, playing a key part in their SGB Championship and Knockout Cup successes.

He is also hoping for a place in the top flight next season, as well as continuing to race in Poland.

Speaking about joining the Cheetahs, Rowe said: “Oxford has a great set-up and being local and riding on a Wednesday, it will enable me to continue growing as a rider

“I hope to have a place in the Premiership and continue to ride in Poland which meant the opportunity came at the perfect time for me.

“I have always done well at Sandy Lane, and think I can only get better riding there regularly.”
