A Celebration of Lionel Richie and Diana Ross Heads to Bournemouth
Bournemouth music fans are in for a night of soul, pop, and Motown magic as a brand-new tribute show celebrating the legendary Lionel Richie and Diana Ross comes to town.
Endless Love – The Show will light up the stage at Bournemouth Pavilion on Friday, August 26, bringing with it a catalogue of timeless hits from two of the world’s greatest performers.
Audiences can expect to hear classics including “I’m Coming Out”, “Dancing On The Ceiling”, “Chain Reaction”, “All Night Long”, “Upside Down”, “Say You Say Me”, C”an’t Hurry Love”, “The Boss”, “Penny Lover” – and of course Richie and Ross’s iconic 1981 duet, “Endless Love”.
It has been more than 40 years since the Motown superstars recorded the song that became one of the best-selling ballads of all time. Despite countless requests, the pair have never reunited to perform it live – something this production seeks to recreate with passion and authenticity.
The show is the creation of Mark Carter, former musical director of the hugely successful Magic of Motown, which thrilled audiences for over a decade. For Endless Love – The Show, Carter has assembled a stellar cast and live band to deliver a journey through the sounds of ’60s soul, disco glitz, ’80s pop anthems, and some of the greatest love songs ever written.
Promoters say it will be “a night no music fan will want to miss.”
