Moody Blues Legend Justin Hayward to Bring ‘Forever Autumn’ Tour to Bournemouth this October
Justin Hayward, the unmistakable voice of The Moody Blues, is set to return to the UK stage this autumn, with Bournemouth on the list of stops for his upcoming Forever Autumn Tour.
The tour, spanning 10 dates across the country in October 2025, will celebrate Hayward’s remarkable five-decade career, along with his enduring connection to the much-loved classic Forever Autumn, first made famous in Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds.
Fans in Bournemouth can expect a setlist that blends Hayward’s classic Moody Blues hits – including Nights in White Satin, Tuesday Afternoon and The Voice – with solo favourites and fresh live performances. Hayward has promised that his beloved Gibson 335 guitar will play a bigger role in this year’s shows, with long-time bandmates Mike, Julie, and Karmen joining him on stage.
Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018 with The Moody Blues, Hayward has sold more than 70 million albums worldwide. Alongside his work with the band, his solo career has included acclaimed albums such as Songwriter, The View From The Hill and Spirits of the Western Sky, as well as global success with Forever Autumn in 1978.
Most recently, Hayward has continued to perform to sell-out audiences across the world, including tours in the US, Greece, and major UK venues. He is also reuniting with the London Philharmonic Orchestra for new recordings to be released this year.
Speaking ahead of the tour, Hayward said: “I always enjoy touring the UK. When I was in a local group in Swindon, we were offered a tour of the North of England and Scotland and I thought, ‘This is it - this is living.’
British music – and British music fans – have a special place in the world of music, and I’m privileged that my songs are a part of that. The same goes for Forever Autumn. Wherever I go in the world people seem to know the song and associate it with my voice. It feels right to acknowledge Forever Autumn this autumn.”
Hayward will also be joined by Mike Dawes, a musician regarded as one of the world’s most creative modern fingerstyle guitarists.
The Bournemouth show will give fans the chance to see one of Britain’s most iconic voices up close, as Hayward reflects on a lifetime of music that has touched generations.
