The Leeds hitmakers feature regularly when festival goers are asked who they would most like to see beside the seaside in Poole and in 2026, their wish will come true!
2“We are really excited to bring the Kaiser Chiefs to Poole, it’s a good job Poole Harbour Festival doesn’t have a roof because they will definitely tear it off!” says festival organiser Serena Wren.
“Every year we canvas the views of our audience and we get so many requests for Kaiser Chiefs – this will be a real treat for our tenth anniversary!”
This year’s Poole Harbour Festival won Silver in the Tourism Event/Festival of the Year at the Dorset Tourism Awards and Gold in the Event of the Year at the DMB Tourism Awards – so there’s lots to celebrate.
With tickets already on sale organisers are also announcing upbeat indie rock trio Scouting For Girls, M People singer Heather Small, long standing festival favourites Dodgy, UK garage legends Artful Dodger and 90s pop heart-throbs East 17 among the headline acts. A stellar DJ bill includes Groove Armada, Judge Jules, Seb Fontaine and The Prodigy’s Leeroy Thornhill, as well as dance music legend Dave Pearce and Phats and Small singer Ben Ofoedu.
After the success of last year’s festival – the biggest in its history – with 15,000 people attending over the weekend, the ‘seaside Glastonbury’ at Baiter Park on the shores of Poole Harbour Festival is set to make even bigger waves this year.
“It’s amazing to think that what started as a community gathering for the people of Poole has grown into a double award-winning live music festival that people travel to from far and wide,” says festival organiser Serena Wren.
"We have some massive headliners this year and some of the biggest names in dance, but we’ve not forgotten our roots and there’s a strong line up of local artists as well as some brilliant tributes to the likes of Bob Marley, REM, Fleetwood Mac, Oasis, Adele and Pink.”
Once again, offsite camping is available, and shuttle buses will run on a continuous loop bringing people from Bournemouth, Westbourne, Branksome and Poole to the festival site.
