These free, family-friendly events are a highlight of the season, bringing colour, music and celebration to the coast, and they’re back from Friday 25 July in Bournemouth and Thursday 31 July in Poole, running weekly through to Friday 29 August.
Thanks to funding from BCP Council, a total of 12 spectacular evenings are planned this summer: with Thursday nights lighting up Poole Quay and Fridays igniting the skies over Bournemouth beach.
Expect more than just fireworks. Poole Quay’s Thursday celebrations promise a vibrant atmosphere with live music, street entertainment and family fun before the show-stopping firework finale at 10pm.
Over in Bournemouth, the fantastic displays will once again launch from the seafront east of the pier, also starting at 10pm.
Councillor Andy Martin, BCP Council's portfolio holder for customer, communications and culture, said:
“Our weekly fireworks displays continue to be some of the most loved and well-attended events across our coastline. They bring the community together and offer a fantastic boost to local businesses during the busy summer season.
“I’d encourage everyone to make an evening of it, soak up the atmosphere, support our brilliant hospitality venues, and enjoy the show.”
Celebrate the best of summer on our stunning south coast and then mark your calendar for Bonfire Night, when Poole Quay will host a spectacular display on Wednesday 5 November.
