Brainchild of Shaka Surf's own Mark Reeves, this wacky surf competition and beach festival is now in its 5th year!

The hilarious race is run like a proper surf competition, with heats throughout the day.

A jam-packed day of fun in the sun for:

• 30+ competitors (and their humans)
• 4000 spectators
• 300+ spectator pooches

Fun awards ceremony at the end includes:

• UK Dog Surfing Champ of the Year
• Best doggie dress-up
• Dog & Owner look-a-like

What is the UK Dog Surfing Championships?

Is the event suitable for spectators?

Absolutely! The championships are a family-friendly event featuring live music, food stalls, beach games, and more. It's a perfect day out for dog lovers and beachgoers alike. 

Are there any safety requirements for participating dogs?

Yes, all participating dogs must wear life jackets and be comfortable in the water. Dogs are not allowed to be leashed to surfboards during the competition for safety reasons.

Is the event dog-friendly for non-competing dogs?

Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome to attend with their owners. However, they must be kept on a leash at all times when not competing.
