What’s On at the Bournemouth Pavilion in 2026

There’s something special about an evening at the theatre by the sea, and in 2026 the historic Bournemouth Pavilion has a packed programme of entertainment to suit every taste.

From West End musicals and legendary live music to laugh-out-loud comedy, inspiring talks and brilliant family shows, the year ahead promises plenty of memorable nights out on the south coast.

Whether you’re planning a date night, a family day out or an evening with friends, the Pavilion’s diverse programme makes it easy to fill the diary with something exciting.

Below are some of the highlights from the 2026 line-up.

Musical Theatre Highlights

The Pavilion continues its tradition of welcoming major touring musicals and theatre productions.

One of the most iconic shows of all time, Blood Brothers arrives in April with its unforgettable story of separated twins and a legendary score. June brings the high-energy Broadway smash Mean Girls, packed with sharp humour and catchy songs.

Summer theatre lovers are in for a treat when the global phenomenon Mamma Mia! takes over the stage from late July into early August, featuring the timeless hits of ABBA. Later in the season, the Tony-nominated musical Waitress arrives in August with its heartfelt story and beautiful soundtrack.

Also not to be missed is Barnum in June, the colourful musical inspired by the life of circus showman P.T. Barnum.

Live Music & Legendary Sounds

Music fans are truly spoilt for choice at the Bournemouth Pavilion in 2026, with a programme that spans classic rock, pop legends, classical crossover and unforgettable tribute shows.

Rock favourites 10cc bring their And Another Bloody Greatest Hits Tour to Bournemouth in March, while audiences can step back into the swinging sixties with The Bootleg Beatles in April.

The Pavilion also welcomes a host of iconic performers including Suzi Quatro, progressive rock pioneers Jethro Tull and new wave legend Midge Ure.

Acclaimed organist Anna Lapwood appears in June as part of her UK tour. Known for bringing the organ to new audiences, she will perform a striking programme combining classical masterpieces with iconic film music on her custom-built touring organ.

One of the most exciting musical highlights of the autumn is the arrival of classical superstar Katherine Jenkins, who celebrates her 25th Anniversary Tour at the Pavilion in October. Known for her soaring mezzo-soprano voice and captivating stage presence, Jenkins has become one of the UK’s most beloved classical performers, making this anniversary concert a real highlight of the year.

The autumn season continues with two more major musical names: world-renowned violin virtuoso Nigel Kennedy and the legendary bandleader Jools Holland, whose vibrant rhythm and blues orchestra is famous for its electric live performances.

Fans of musical theatre and powerhouse vocals should also keep an eye out for performances from Alfie Boe, Beverley Knight and Michael Ball, while tribute spectaculars celebrating Michael Jackson, George Michael, Whitney Houston and Fleetwood Mac promise big nostalgia and even bigger sing-alongs.

Comedy Nights Out

If laughter is the best medicine, the Pavilion has plenty of prescriptions for 2026.

Popular stand-up Chris Ramsey arrives in April with his high-energy show Here, Man!, while the brilliantly deadpan Gary Delaney brings his rapid-fire one-liners to the stage in May.

Autumn sees satirical firebrand Jonathan Pie deliver his biting political humour, alongside award-winning comedian Susan Calman with her show Tall Tales.

Regular LOL Comedy Club nights throughout the year also showcase a rotating line-up of top comedians, perfect for discovering new favourites.

Family Shows & Daytime Fun

Little theatre fans will love Peppa Pig’s Big Family Show, featuring everyone’s favourite animated character Peppa Pig. Summer brings the colourful stage production Bluey’s Big Play, starring the beloved Australian TV pup Bluey.

There’s also interactive science fun with Ministry of Science Live and prehistoric adventure with Dinosaurs Live!

And of course, no festive season in Bournemouth would be complete without the Pavilion’s traditional pantomime. In December, audiences can look forward to the magical family favourite Aladdin, running through the Christmas period into the New Year.

Dance, Variety & Spectacle

Beyond theatre and music, 2026 also features visually stunning productions and live experiences.

Dance lovers won’t want to miss Let’s Face The Music and Dance from ballroom stars Aljaž Škorjanec and Janette Manrara, while the spectacular Irish dance phenomenon Lord of the Dance: 30th Anniversary arrives in September.

Elsewhere, magic, storytelling and immersive shows - including Piff & Pop’s Magic Shoppe and Murder On Trial Tonight - offer something a little different for audiences seeking a unique night out.

Talks & Inspiring Evenings

For those who enjoy an evening of fascinating conversation, there are also several engaging talks and live shows throughout the year.

Writer, broadcaster and raconteur Gyles Brandreth brings his famously entertaining storytelling to the stage, while Dr Louise Newson explores health and wellbeing in Breaking the Cycle - The Power of Hormones.

Booking Ahead

With such a varied programme, many performances at the Bournemouth Pavilion sell quickly, particularly headline music acts, touring musicals and big comedy names.
