Individuality Swimming Shines at STA National Conference

Dorset based Individuality Swimming is making Dorset proud after being honoured at the prestigious Swimming Teachers’ Association (STA) National Conference. The school offers lessons to swimmers of all ages and abilities and has received national recognition for excellence in aquatic education.

Becky Dowling, ATC Co-ordinator at Individuality Swimming, was awarded Tutor of the Year – Aquatics, a national accolade that celebrates outstanding dedication, teaching excellence, and a lasting impact on aquatic education. These values are at the heart of Individuality Swimming’s ethos and community presence.

Individuality Swimming was also a finalist in the STAr Aquatic Excellence Awards, standing alongside national giants such as GLL, the UK’s largest leisure operator. This recognition puts the Poole team in the national spotlight.

Founder Kristin Maguire commented:

Recognition extended to other team members as well: Gerard and Sarah, both accomplished instructors, were nominated and shortlisted in their respective award categories. Their expertise and passion continue to inspire swimmers and families across Dorset.

These honours underscore the school’s commitment to top-tier swim instruction, innovation in aquatics, and the well-being of all its learners. The awards highlight how this Dorset swimming school is leading the way in developing confident, capable swimmers.
