Reports Indicate Possibility of New Costco Store Opening in Dorset within Two Years

Emerging information suggests that the American wholesaler Costco might be building a new store in Dorset within the next two years.

Several media outlets have reported that the wholesale company, Costco, has ambitious plans to expand its presence in the UK, with the aim of launching as many as 14 new stores over the next couple of years. Among the potential locations being considered, Bournemouth/Poole has been listed.

A source within Costco revealed to The Sun newspaper that the chain was hoping to open the new sites “as soon as possible.” This expansion includes various regions, spanning from Devon to Glasgow, where Costco is actively scouting for suitable locations.

These converted new sites will accommodate 15,000 sq ft buildings and 650 parking spaces. Notably, these sites might even include provisions for fueling and electric vehicle charging stations in the future.

Costco specialises in selling items in bulk, offering a variety of items for purchase. A unique feature of Costco stores is the requirement for shoppers to hold a membership in order to shop in their stores but it’s important to know that not everyone is eligible for membership at their warehouse locations.
