Canford Magna is getting a new padel club, and Cross Court Padel isn’t opening it quietly. The club, which already runs Dorset’s first indoor padel centre in Poole, has announced a full launch day for its second site on Saturday 15th August, running from 9am to 5pm on Provence Drive, with free padel sessions, family entertainment and a few incentives for early risers.
Sharing the news on social media, the team say the first 100 people through the doors will pick up a gift bag, so it might be worth setting an alarm. Once inside, there’s plenty to fill the day. Coach-led 15-minute intro sessions are free, there’s a one-point tournament, and braver visitors can take on a professional in a Beat a Pro challenge. For those who’d rather watch than play, the club has promised an exhibition match featuring what it describes as Top 100 UK players and a Premier Padel entrant.
Away from the courts, the outdoor space will have a DJ, a bouncy castle and games, alongside a BBQ, an outdoor lounge area and a fully stocked bar. Pop-up stalls from padel brands will be showcasing kit on the day, whether you’re a seasoned player or just curious about the sport everyone keeps talking about.
Details on how to book intro sessions and the one-point tournament are still to come, with the club promising more news soon.
