A spine tingling after dark Halloween adventure returns to Moors Valley Country Park and Forest this autumn
The Halloween at Moors Valley illuminated light trail is back this autumn, bringing an atmospheric wonder to the woodland with eerie encounters, immersive scenes and spooky surprises tucked into the shadows. Hosted by Forestry England, this lively seasonal night out invites visitors to explore the forest after dark as familiar paths take on a more mysterious feel.
As the light fades, the trail comes alive with dramatic installations and characters that build anticipation at every turn. Guests can journey beneath towering giant skeletons standing watch over the trees and step foot into a carnivorous garden where the plants look suspiciously ready to bite back, all whilst keeping a careful eye on the sinister Demon Barber.
Deeper into the woods, visitors will experience hints of ancient forest rituals, revealed through flickering light, strange symbols and haunting sights that suggest something unsettling has stirred among the branches, offering plenty to spot, hear and photograph as the story unfolds around the route.
Natalie Crabb, Recreation Manager for Forestry England at Moors Valley, said: “The forest with its winding paths and tall trees is a truly magical place to have some Halloween fun on our illuminated trail. It is going to look spectacular and offer some real surprises along the way! Come and visit us for a ghoulishly good time in the woods this Halloween.”
James Dakin, Director of Live Experiences, RG Live, a subsidiary of Sony Music, said: “Halloween at Moors Valley is all about family fun with an engaging, after dark experience that pulls you into the adventure from the first step.
Visitors can expect bold scenes, curious characters and a trail packed with surprises, and the team cannot wait to welcome guests into the woods for a night that feels exciting, memorable and brilliantly different.”
For those needing a breather between frights, a tempting range of food and drink will be available throughout the evening. Guests immersed in the spooky woodland atmosphere can be warmed up with a much-needed hot chocolate and marshmallows. Or if that doesn’t take your fancy, choose from delicious seasonal street food, or pick up a sweet treat. Separate charges apply.
