Shake & Stir Vintage Music Festival (Armed Forces Weekender) 2026

The Shake & Stir Vintage Music Festival returns as an Armed Forces Weekender, offering two days of vintage music, dance, heritage displays and family-friendly activities at Fisherman’s Walk, Southbourne.

The Shake & Stir Vintage Festival returns in 2026 as the Shake & Stir Vintage Armed Forces Weekender, a two-day celebration honouring service, heritage and community spirit. Across two vibrant days at Fisherman’s Walk, the programme includes vintage live music spanning the 1940s–1960s (including swing, big band, rock ’n’ roll and soul), dance displays and workshops (such as Lindy Hop, Jive, Swing and Bollywood), and opportunities for public participation. The event also features a Military Heritage & History Hub with a military and heritage vehicle parade and static displays, plus an exhibition sharing local and regional military history and stories of service. Family-friendly attractions include children’s vintage games, traders and artisan stalls, and a variety of food and drink traders. Community fundraising activities, remembrance and reflection moments, and a ceremonial programme are also included.
