The Flying Scotsman at Swanage Railway

The world-famous Flying Scotsman will be visiting Swanage Railway in autumn 2026, as part of our 50th anniversary celebrations. This is a hugely exciting moment for the railway and a rare opportunity to see one of the most famous steam locomotives in the world here in Purbeck.

Owned by the National Railway Museum, this iconic locomotive will be with us for ten days, from Friday 23 October to Sunday 1 November 2026 (inclusive). Bookings open in mid-July.
