Your Total Guide To entertainment

At the centre of the programme is the Summer Family Passport Book, which lets young cinema-goers collect a stamp each time they visit for a family release. Children can earn stamps by watching new titles, returning to old favourites, or attending the cinema’s Mighty Mornings and Big Shorts screenings, with the chance to win a £25 Vue gift card by sharing a photo on a dedicated Vue Facebook post.
This summer’s titles include Toy Story 5 and Minions & Monsters, alongside Disney’s live-action Moana, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie, which is released on August 7. Vue has also joined the Great British Summer Savings scheme, offering discounted tickets for children aged 14 and under.
For younger children, daily Mighty Mornings screenings run throughout the holidays, aimed at four to eleven year olds and priced from £2.49 per ticket when booked online. Toddlers are catered for through the Big Shorts series, which shows familiar characters in a relaxed setting with the lights dimmed.
Abbie Daniel, general manager at Vue Poole, said the cinema has something for everyone heading into the school holidays, from live-action reimaginings to animated adventures, and called it the perfect spot for families to escape, unwind and get lost in a good story on the big screen.
Vue Poole, based at Tower Park, shows films in 2D and 3D with laser projection across every screen, and also hosts Big Screen Events covering concerts, sport, dance, opera and theatre.
