Poole’s Pride celebrations kick off in style this Saturday

The Lighthouse is hosting an exciting schedule of Pride celebrations on Saturday 7th June 2025.

The day will be packed with inclusive, family friendly entertainment celebrating LGBTQ+ creativity through talks, crafts workshops, live comedy, cabaret and music. Local organisations that work to support the LGBTQ+ community will also be present.

Poole Pride promises celebrity appearances as CBeebies own Chris Jarvis starts the day with a ‘Family Disco Show’ at 1pm.

Following this, there is a whole host of family friendly activities including Silent Disco’s, Children’s Storytelling, and Face Painting.

Alongside this, Poole Pride will have brilliant acts such as Queer Celidh, a Celtic Folk Dancing Group, a Destination Opera recital and music workshops from the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. An art installation called Wings of Pride from Dorset sewist Matt Wilding will also be on show.

Celebrations continue into the evening as from 7PM there will be performances from stand-up comedian Chloe Petts, the Pecs Drag Kings, Come on Out cabaret and another silent disco.
