New Family Entertainment Venue Opening in Boscombe with 50% Off Launch Weekend

Families in Bournemouth will soon have a brand-new destination for indoor fun as Lux Play prepares to open at the Sovereign Centre in Boscombe later this month — with 50% off entry across opening weekend.

Launching on 23 May, the new family entertainment venue will bring together soft play, arcade games and a café under one roof, with a focus on creating an affordable day out for local families.

At the heart of the venue is an impressive three-level soft play structure, measuring 11 metres long, 4.5 metres wide and 4.8 metres tall, alongside a dedicated baby and toddler area designed for younger visitors.

For older children - and big kids too - there will also be more than 40 arcade machines, including racing games, claw machines, 2p machines and pool tables, all operating through a cashless token system.

A café on-site will serve a range of hot food, cold food, drinks and milkshakes, making it easy for families to settle in for a few hours of entertainment, whatever the weather.

Created by a group of local business owners who are parents themselves, Lux Play has been designed with affordability in mind, recognising the increasing cost of family days out.

Sarbaz Roushbaiani, owner of LuxPlay said; “LuxPlay was built to give families and young people in Bournemouth a fun, exciting and safe place to spend time together. We wanted to create something the community could genuinely enjoy and be proud of, while helping bring more energy and positivity back into the area.”

With the cost of family activities continuing to rise, Lux Play hopes to provide an affordable, all-weather option for families across Bournemouth, Boscombe and the wider Dorset area.

To celebrate the launch, all entry prices will be 50% off across opening weekend, giving families the chance to explore the new venue at a reduced cost.

Following the launch offer, entry will cost £8 per child, while baby sessions will be £4. During the opening promotion, children can enter for £4, with baby sessions priced at £2. Adults can attend free of charge, with up to two adults per child.

Every child visiting on opening day will also receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize, while discounted arcade credits can be purchased in advance through the Lux Play website.

Located at Unit 7, Sovereign Centre, Boscombe, Lux Play is set to become a new go-to destination for family fun in Bournemouth, offering an affordable, all-weather activity for parents looking for things to do with children in Dorset.
