Tractors Take Over Moors Valley for a Free Family Day Out This June

Something a little different is heading to Moors Valley Country Park and Forest on 27th June - Tractor Day brings a full line-up of vintage and modern tractors, heavy machinery, and working forestry vehicles into the trees - all free to explore.

The event gathers machines from across Moors Valley, the New Forest, and Dorset in one place, with demonstrations and activities running throughout the day. At 3pm, the vintage tractors make their parade through the forest. It's worth timing your afternoon around it.

Ranger-guided trailer rides run throughout the day - jump aboard for a 20-minute tour through the forest for £4 per person. Card payment only, no pre-booking, and they're expected to be popular, so arriving early is worth it.

Demonstrations include wood chipping from the New Forest Sawmill and carving from Ringwood Woodcarvers, with more still to be confirmed - it's a rare chance to see this kind of working machinery up close. A heads up: some demonstrations will be loud, so ear defenders are worth packing if you have younger visitors in tow. Face painting and glitter tattoos are also available outside the Visitor Centre for an additional charge.

Entry is free, standard parking charges apply, and the gates are open from 10am to 4pm - plenty of time to see everything.
