Christchurch Remembrance Service
Join the Band of the Royal British Legion Christchurch for the Festival of Remembrance at Christchurch Priory on Saturday 31 October 2026 at 7.30pm.
This evening of music and commemoration brings the community together to honour those who served and remember those who lost their lives in conflict.

Swanage Remembrance Parade
Join Swanage’s Remembrance Sunday commemorations on 8 November 2026, alongside service personnel from the Royal Signals in Blandford and the Ringwood Pipe Band.
The parade leaves the Mowlem at 2pm, marching to St Mary’s Church for a service at 2.30pm. Afterwards, the procession continues to the War Memorial for wreath laying and an Act of Remembrance at approximately 4pm, honouring those who served and remembering those who lost their lives in conflict.
Weymouth Remembrance Service
Join Weymouth’s Remembrance Sunday service and parade on 8 November 2026, bringing together veterans, Armed Forces personnel and the local community.
The service begins at 10.30am at Weymouth War Memorial on the Promenade, with music from the Salvation Army. A two-minute silence at 11am will be marked by cannon fire from the beach at the start and finish. Please be aware that the cannon will be loud.
Following wreath laying at the War Memorial, a parade along the Esplanade to the US Memorial will conclude with a further short wreath-laying ceremony.
Lyme Regis Remembrance Day Parade
Join Lyme Regis’s Remembrance Sunday parade and service on 8 November 2026, led by the Mayor, civic party and members of the Royal British Legion.
Participants assemble at the Pound Street entrance to Langmoor Gardens at 9am, before the parade leaves at 9.30am, passing through Broad Street, Bridge Street and Church Street to St Michael’s Church for a service at 10am.
The procession then gathers at the clock tower at 10.50am, ahead of a two-minute silence at 11am. Members of the public are welcome to line the route and pay their respects.
Blandford Remembrance Service
Join Blandford Forum’s Remembrance Sunday wreath laying, service and parade on 8 November 2026, from 2.45pm in the Market Place. The commemorations include wreath laying at the Town Hall memorial tablets and Parish Church churchyard, music from Blandford Stour Valley Band, open-air hymns and the town parade. Free parking will be available in Dorset Council car parks, with time limits still applying.
Further opportunities to pay your respects include the Commonwealth War Graves Memorial Service at Blandford Cemetery on Sunday 1 November at 11am, gathering at the Cross of Sacrifice at 10.50am, and the schools’ remembrance gathering at the Parish Church on Friday 6 November at 10.30am.
On Armistice Day, Wednesday 11 November, from 10.40am, hear the piper in the Market Place and join the Mayor for a two-minute silence.
Wimborne Remembrance Service
Join Wimborne’s Remembrance Sunday parade and service on 8 November 2026. Participants gather at Wimborne Royal British Legion from 2pm, with the parade forming at 2.30pm and departing for Wimborne Minster at approximately 2.40pm.
The Remembrance Service begins inside the Minster at 3pm, followed by wreath laying at the War Memorial on Minster Green at approximately 3.40pm. The parade then returns to the Royal British Legion, where everyone is invited for tea and biscuits.
On Armistice Day, Wednesday 11 November 2026, a short ceremony will take place at the War Memorial on Minster Green at 11am, including a two-minute silence and wreath laying.
Ringwood Remembrance Service
Join Ringwood’s Remembrance Sunday commemorations on 8 November 2026. Following services around the town, the parade gathers in Market Place beside the Parish Church at 11.30am, before proceeding to the War Memorial Garden opposite Greyfriars Community Centre. A short service will be followed by the Act of Remembrance and wreath laying at midday, before the procession returns to Market Place. Road closures apply from 11.30am–1pm.
A Commonwealth War Graves service will also take place at Ringwood Cemetery on Saturday 7 November, gathering at 10.45am, with poppy crosses laid on service personnel’s graves.
On Armistice Day, Wednesday 11 November, a service begins at the War Memorial Garden at 10.45am, with a two-minute silence at 11am. Loud bangs from ceremonial maroons will mark the start and end of the silence.
