A New Wellness Café, Été, to Open in Westbourne This Summer

Inspired by the slower pace of French summers, Été brings seasonal, nourishing food and calm design to the Bournemouth coast.

Westbourne, Dorset – A new kind of daytime café is coming to Westbourne this summer. Été, a wellness-focused, design-led café founded by brother and sister team Simon and Zoe Brooks, will open its doors following the complete transformation of the former DotTeas site on Poole Road.

Rooted in the calm and simplicity of French summers, Été will offer a fresh, seasonal menu that includes fresh salads, protein pots, open toasts, cold-pressed juices, matcha elixirs, and naturally sweet treats — all made with thoughtfully sourced ingredients and a focus on wellbeing.

“We wanted to create something that didn’t feel rushed — food that’s simple, nourishing, and intentional, but also ready for you to pick up and take away when you are at work, or heading to the beach for a picnic” says co-founder Zoe Brooks. “There are plenty of cafés, but we wanted to create a calm space that encourages community as well, with food to support and nourish, and workshops and events that explore wellness in today's world. Été is about warmth — in the food, in the design, and in the way we welcome people.”

The café’s name — French for summer — reflects the inspiration behind the concept: a slower way of living, where fresh market produce is part of daily life and meals are shared with care.

Beyond the menu, Été will also host a curated programme of events and workshops designed to support mind-body wellbeing, including pottery painting, breathwork sessions, painting classes, and nutrition talks.

Following a full strip-out and rebuild, the space has been redesigned with earthy tones, natural textures, and calming details, creating an environment that invites visitors to pause, reset, and connect.

Été Westbourne is set to open this Summer, with event programming launching shortly after. The café will be open seven days a week during daytime hours 07:30-16:00.
