About: The Wood Fired Piadizza Co started off as a mobile trailer offering wood-fired pizzas at festivals and weddings - now they are all grown up and have their own restaurant in Wimborne with a fantastic Italian-inspired offering!
Specialising in Piadizza, which is a cross between a pizza and piadina (thin Italian sandwich) all made in-house with a wood-fired clay oven. You can make your own by choosing from a huge selection of locally sourced Dorset cheeses and vegetables or choose from the menu - Classic Margherita, The Veggie, and The Meaty. Simple eh?
There are plenty of daily specials to choose from, along with staples such as Tagliatelle with Fresh Chillies & Basil and Italian Meatballs with Tagliatelle and Piadizza tomato sauce. Banoffee Pie and Tiramisu are there to tempt you too.
Plenty of vegan/veggie options as well as treats for the kids and if you feel like going completely off-piste, you can have a burger!

TGt Recommends: Portobello Mushrooms stuffed with chopped peppers and red onion covered in vegan cheese and baked in the clay oven - I changed my cheese to Dorset Blue Vinney and added some Wiltshire cured ham! Unbelievable and all for £8.50

Piccolo Mondo Pizzeria
About: Opened in 1982, Piccolo Mondo was the first-ever pizzeria in Wimborne and is still going strong and staying true to its Sicilian roots.
Piccolo Mondo is a lovely, colourful Italian restaurant serving homemade pizzas, pasta, and a range of seasonal specials to a local following. Big on sustainability and waste-conscious; fresh pizza dough is made in-house every day and local ingredients are used in all their dishes.
Guest beers from local breweries and a cracking wine list with some ‘big’ Italian reds are well worth a peruse!
Lots of daily specials and an excellent lunchtime deal - ½ pasta or pizza with salad or garlic bread for £6.25 make this an excellent option for a delightful afternoon with the family.

Topogigio
About: Topogigio is a family-run, local, Italian restaurant located in the centre of Wimborne.
