REVIEW: Canvas and Dreams Kids Parties

I'd up until this point avoided any big party for my daughter; as she's a September baby, it's always been easy to have a little gathering in the garden but I wanted to go for it as 5 is a big one and she'd just started school too!

But - with the staggered hours of the first week of term and juggling working in the summer holidays I knew I just wouldn't have the time to make it special on my own. Luckily I found local Poole based Canvas and Dreams on Instagram.

I knew I wanted to hold Flo's party in the garden again, but didn't know how to make it more special for her and her friends so after having a look through the Canvas and Dreams feed I knew that this was a perfect solution; they create bespoke Gazebo parties where they decorate gazebo's with beautiful themes and even include the tables, chairs and plates, cups and napkins!

For children's parties, you have a choice of themed parties (which include Rainbow Brights, Harry Potter, Shimmer, Neon Disco, Enchanted Garden, Superheroes, Football Crazy, TikTok, Unicorn Dreams and Fortnite). There are also Sleepover packages (I'm not brave enough for those just yet), Hot Tub Packages, Cinema and Deluxe for adult parties, weddings, hen parties, baby showers and celebrations too so there's something for all ages and taste.

We went for Rainbow as the decor was so fun and bright (just like my daughter).

Emma arrived the day before the party as the forecast for the rest of the day wasn't great, so she wanted to make she it was up and secure so there were no last-minute dramas. Emma was so passionate about her job and creating wonderful memories for everyone it made me even more excited to see the finished gazebo!

Emma stayed for a good 3 hours erecting and decorating every inch of it - it looked incredible! Gorgeous quality rainbow decorations everywhere, lots of vibrant colours and little touches with the paper plates and coloured glass vases on the tables which I filled with sweets. 

I couldn't believe how much thought had gone into this; with a disco ball and disco lights for the kids - they squealed with delight when they saw these and loved having a disco after they'd eaten, and we cleared the tables away. They were so happy dancing and playing, it was surprisingly a very easy day for us parents - we all managed to chat between ourselves while they had the time of their lives!

My favourite memory of all which will stay with me forever though, is when we put our youngest daughter to bed, we let Florence stay up until dark and we had a little disco just her and I - it was just fantastic with the disco ball and lights.

It's so fantastic that you get hire of the gazebo for longer than the party itself and it takes the stress away of having to tidy up immediately. 

I went out for a run in the morning and by the time I got back Emma had been and cleared it all away.
Success all round - very happy daughter and children and a very easy time for Mum and Dad so we could actually enjoy seeing her having fun rather than rushing around trying to do everything ourselves.
