All Aboard The Polar Express is Coming To Swanage Railway

Christmas in Dorset has never looked so magical, get your pyjamas’ and dressing gowns on and get ready for an extraordinary journey to the North Pole. THE POLAR EXPRESS™ is coming to Swanage Railway this Christmas and Santa will be making an appearance too!

This one-hour magical train ride will transport families from Swanage Railway to the North Pole where the story will come alive. Characters from the book and film THE POLAR EXPRESS™ will be singing and dancing in the carriages and interacting with everyone on board. As the train steams along, you will be served a cup of hot chocolate and a cookie just like in the film, and everyone will receive a special Polar Express themed gift too!

One of Swanage Railway's resident steam trains will be used to pull the seven carriages, each named after Santa’s reindeer, Rudolph, Blitzen, Comet, Dasher, Prancer and Vixen, with Cupid as an accessible carriage for wheelchairs.

This incredible Christmas experience will run from Friday 17th November to Saturday 30th December 2023. Tickets go on sale at 9am Friday 14th July 2023. Get ready for a magical christmas adventure in Dorset.
