REVIEW: Elevate Brasserie Bournemouth - Stunning Views & Perfect Pre-Theatre Dining

If you’re looking for the ideal restaurant before or after a show at the Bournemouth Pavilion or BIC, Elevate Brasserie is an outstanding choice. Perched high on the hill overlooking Bournemouth Pier, this stylish spot offers not only fantastic food but some of the most breathtaking coastal views in town.

After enjoying the magical Cinderella pantomime at The Pavilion, we headed to Elevate Brasserie for an early dinner as soon as they opened at 4pm; essentially doing pre-theatre dining in reverse. It turned out to be the perfect way to end our festive afternoon in Bournemouth.

A Dining Room with Unforgettable Views

The restaurant’s location gives it a truly special vantage point. From our table by the window, we enjoyed sweeping views of Bournemouth Beach, the Pier, the Big Wheel and the surrounding coastline. The kids were mesmerised, repeatedly saying they felt like they were “in New York” as they watched the beachfront lights and watched the world go by below. It was such a lovely moment and really added to the magic of the experience.

Warm, Friendly Service

From the moment we arrived, the team at Elevate Brasserie were incredibly welcoming. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff are attentive without being intrusive, and everything feels effortless - exactly what you want when dining with excited children after a theatre show.

A Small Menu That Delivers Big Flavour

Elevate’s pre-theatre dining menu is small but perfectly formed, offering a curated selection that focuses on quality ingredients and bold flavours.

The children chose two classics - macaroni cheese and a margherita pizza - both generous in portion and big on comfort.

I went for the slow-braised shoulder of lamb cassoulet, served with spicy sausage, cannellini and butter beans, root vegetables, green beans and a rich tomato ragout. Paired with warm crusty bread and butter, it was everything you want from a hearty winter dish. Warming, deeply flavourful and perfect for a December evening.

Desserts That Steal the Show

If you have a sweet tooth, Elevate’s desserts are worth the visit on their own!

The children chose the Ice Cream Sundae, which was absolutely huge; chocolate and vanilla ice cream, fresh berries, whipped cream and all the sauces and toppings you could dream of. They devoured the lot.

I ordered the chocolate and hazelnut sphere with raspberry sorbet, accompanied by berries and warm chocolate sauce. It was so elegant it almost felt wrong to break into it, but it tasted even better than it looked.

Fantastic Value for Pre-Theatre Dining

Elevate Brasserie’s pre-show dining menu offers exceptional value at just £19.95 for two courses or £24 for three courses.

Considering the panoramic views, premium ingredients, excellent service and convenient location, it’s genuinely impressive value for money.

Perfect For a Pre or Post-Panto Visit

Present your panto ticket at Elevate Brasserie & Bar on the day of the show and enjoy a kids meal for £1 when an adult meal is purchased!

Perfectly Positioned for the BIC and Pavilion

One of the biggest advantages of Elevate is its location. Situated beside the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) and just across the road from the Pavilion Theatre, as well as multiple nearby car parks, it couldn’t be more convenient for anyone heading to a show. No trekking through town with children or battling crowds - just an easy, enjoyable transition from theatre to dinner (or vice versa)

Final Thoughts

With its breathtaking views, warm service, delicious food and unbeatable proximity to Bournemouth’s main entertainment venues, Elevate Brasserie is a must-visit for pre-theatre or post-show dining. Whether you’re heading to a pantomime with the kids or enjoying an evening at the BIC, Elevate offers a wonderful dining experience that feels special, relaxed and is great value.

If you're planning a theatre trip in Bournemouth, Elevate Brasserie absolutely deserves a place on your list.
