REVIEW: Perfect Picnic Lunch with Goode Choice Catering’s Sharing Box for Two

We’d heard great things about Goode Choice Catering and decided to try their Sharing Box for Two on a hot day in Poole. Spoiler alert: it was the perfect choice!

After a busy morning working at The Foundry, we were in need of a proper lunch break, but something a little more exciting than the usual grab-and-go. If you're after a convenient, beautifully presented and genuinely delicious lunch experience, a box from Goode Choice Catering is well worth checking out.

Smooth Pickup from La Mia’s

Goode Choice Catering is the sister company to La Mia’s (owned by Carly Jervis-Goode and established back in 1999 as buffet specialists). We arranged to collect our Sharing Box from La Mia’s and walked down toward The Quay to grab the box.

The collection process couldn’t have been easier; We were greeted warmly and invited to take a seat while our box was being wrapped and brought out. It was a lovely touch that set the experience up for a great start.

What’s Inside?

The Sharing Box for Two is packed with a curated selection of treats:

• Cheese and charcuterie
• A mix of crunchy crudités and dips
• Fresh orange slices and juicy seasonal fruit
• Sandwiches and savoury extras (which aren’t always included but just ask if you want to add them for an additional cost)

There was a great variety, something for every palate and everything was fresh, colourful, and presented beautifully. It felt far from your standard takeaway lunch.

Lunch with a View

Once we had our box, we walked over to Baiter Park, found a sunny spot, and dug into the spread. It felt like the perfect way to hit pause during the workday.

The Sharing Box is ideal for a laid-back lunch with a colleague, friend, date or family member, especially on a warm day when you want something easy but elevated. We both left feeling full, satisfied, and like we’d made the most of the sunshine.

A Great Local Option

Priced at £45 (including delivery within 1 mile), this is definitely a treat. But one that feels well worth it for the quality and experience, I’d definitely recommend. Whether you're planning a picnic, celebrating a small occasion, or just want to take your lunch break up a notch, this is a brilliant option.
