The Castle Pantry Celebrates First Anniversary as Highcliffe’s Award-Winning Tea Room

The Castle Pantry, nestled within the historic grounds of Highcliffe Castle, is celebrating its first anniversary after a year of becoming a cherished community gathering spot.

Since its grand reopening in August 2024, the tea rooms have welcomed thousands of locals and visitors, offering a warm atmosphere, delicious homemade fare, and a commitment to supporting the local community.

Key highlights from the past year include:

• Award-Winning Excellence: The Castle Pantry was honoured with the Gold Award in the Café/Tearoom category at the BCP Business Awards, recognising its dedication to quality and community service.
• Community Engagement: The tea rooms have become a hub for local gatherings, hosting events and providing a space for community groups to connect and thrive.
• Partnership with Lewis-Manning Hospice Care: In a heartfelt collaboration, The Castle Pantry launched the 'Lewis-Manning Corner,' a dedicated space within the tea rooms selling second-hand items to support the hospice's vital services. Since its inception in April, the initiative has raised nearly £1,000 for the charity.
• Local Collaborations: Partnering with local suppliers like Shelley’s Bakery, recently recognised as one of the top five bakers in BCP, and Butcher Joe’s, The Castle Pantry ensures high-quality products for its patrons.

Gui Brandao, Manager at The Castle Pantry, expressed, "Our first year has been about more than just serving food, it’s been about creating a place where the community feels at home. Winning the Gold Award has been an incredible recognition of what our team has built, and the Lewis-Manning Corner is a reminder of how we can use our space to give back."
