The 1-Day Venison Butchery Workshop and Feast for Bushcrafters is a hands-on woodland course focused on ethical venison preparation, practical butchery skills, and outdoor cooking techniques. The day is designed for bushcrafters, outdoor cooks, and anyone interested in learning how to break down a deer efficiently and respectfully while minimising waste and maximising quality. Date: Saturday 11 April 2026 Time: 10:00 to 17:30 Location: Norden Woods near Corfe Castle, Dorset Price: £135 per person Day schedule: 10:00 – Arrival and introduction, including safety, hygiene, tools, and an overview of the butchery process. Morning – Venison butchery session covering step-by-step breakdown, key cuts, knife techniques, and hygiene considerations, with participant involvement where appropriate. 13:00 – Steak rolls for lunch, cooked outdoors and shared as a group. Afternoon – Outdoor cooking using remaining cuts to prepare a stew, chilli, or curry, alongside contextual bushcraft skills such as knife skills and maintenance, safe axe use, and camp food preparation/management. 16:30–17:00 – Group feast followed by wrap-up, questions, and guidance on applying the skills in future camps or at home.
