Acclaimed Chef Nathan Outlaw Partners on Major New Canford Cliffs Restaurant Opening
Outlaw House will open this September with a coastal brasserie, bar and boutique rooms, creating around 40 local jobs
Acclaimed seafood chef Nathan Outlaw is collaborating on a major new hospitality opening at the former Loch Fyne restaurant and hotel in Canford Cliffs early September.
Outlaw House will bring together a coastal brasserie, bar and boutique rooms at 47 Haven Road, creating around 40 local jobs and showcasing produce from Dorset and across the South West.
Created by Stellar Hospitality Group, Outlaw House was founded by long term friends Salar Brock, Rob Hannaford and Thomas Edgcumbe, is chaired by hospitality industry leader Gareth Lloyd-Jones and is backed by Trinity Capital Ventures.
The food offering has been developed in collaboration with Nathan Outlaw, one of Britain’s leading seafood chefs. Nathan has worked with the Outlaw House team to develop the menu, establish sourcing and culinary standards and mentor the kitchen team.
Executive Chef Fergus Coyle will lead the kitchen day to day, supported by the wider Outlaw House culinary team.
Nathan Outlaw said: “I’m really excited and proud to be involved in the launch of Outlaw House in Canford Cliffs.
“We’ve worked hard to create a brasserie focused on quality food, great hospitality and a relaxed atmosphere, with a real emphasis on the incredible produce and suppliers we have here in the South West.
“It has been a fantastic project to be part of, and I’m looking forward to seeing guests enjoy everything the team has created. I hope Outlaw House becomes somewhere people want to return to time and time again.”
The seasonal menu will celebrate the coastline and countryside of Dorset and the South West, with dishes including Dorset crab scones with lemon and radish, cider-battered gurnard with warm tartare sauce and peas, roasted bass with chargrilled leeks and spiced butter sauce, and St Clement’s cheesecake with blackberries and citrus curd.
The business is building direct relationships with fishermen, farmers, growers, cheesemakers, vineyards and artisan producers from across the region, giving guests a closer connection to where their food comes from.
Salar Brock, Founder of Outlaw House, said: “Canford Cliffs is the perfect place to launch the first Outlaw House. We want to create somewhere local people are proud to have on their doorstep, while showcasing the produce, suppliers and hospitality talent of Dorset and the wider South West.
“Outlaw House has been created around exceptional food and genuine hospitality. We want guests to feel looked after from the moment they arrive and leave already looking forward to coming back.
“This is just the beginning. Our ambition is to build a collection of distinctive hospitality destinations that feel genuinely connected to the communities they serve.”
The opening will create roles across the restaurant, kitchen, bar and boutique rooms, with Outlaw House investing in local hospitality talent, training and long-term career development.
Dorset-based creative and marketing agency Studio Global has developed the website, launch communications and public relations for Outlaw House and will continue to support the business as it launches in Canford Cliffs.
Further details about the official opening and bookings will be announced shortly.
