PMB Street Kitchen: new European street food evenings coming to Ashley Cross

There's a new reason to head to Ashley Cross this summer. Patisserie Mark Bennett, the acclaimed Poole artisan bakery known to locals as PMB, is branching out with PMB Street Kitchen, a European-inspired street food concept launching as a run of pop-up evenings at St Peter's Church.

Master baker Mark Bennett has spent the past few months building the idea, drawing on his years of training and his travels across Europe. The result brings together European street food, house-made bratwurst, slow-cooked meats and rich sauces, all built around the artisan breads PMB is known for.

The menu leans into proper comfort cooking. Early highlights shared by the bakery include a Café de Paris steak baguette, a chicken schnitzel roll, house-made bratwurst and an Alpine cheese fondue, each one, the team say, made with the same care that runs through everything PMB does.

The setting is a fitting one, too. Food and bread have always had a way of bringing people together, and doing it inside St Peter's Church gives these summer evenings a warm, communal feel.

The pop-up evenings run from 5pm on Friday 24 July, Saturday 25 July, Friday 28 August and Thursday 10 September. Gather a few friends, make the most of the lighter evenings, and discover something new from one of Dorset's favourite bakeries.
