The Botanist set to open in Bournemouth next year

The Botanist, a popular restaurant chain, is confirmed to open a new location in Bournemouth next year.

The restaurant will occupy the fourth floor of the former Bobby’s shopping center, with construction work beginning later this year.

Although The Botanist expressed interest in opening a Bournemouth location back in October 2022, when they submitted a licence application, renovations on the building have delayed the start of work. The Bobby’s building has been undergoing extensive renovations, including a £5.6 million roof reconstruction.

The Botanist’s new space will include a restored sun terrace, previously part of the iconic Bobby’s tea rooms, offering views of Bournemouth Square and the Lower Gardens. This outdoor area is expected to become a key feature of the restaurant, providing a scenic dining experience that adds to The Botanist’s unique appeal at this location.
