Hampshire Air Festival marks flying start to ticket sales as earlybird discount window nears end.

Hampshire, UK: The UK’s newest airshow, Hampshire Air Festival, has recorded a phenomenal first month of ticket sales ahead of its inaugural event at Thruxton Circuit and Aerodrome on 12–13 September 2026, with nearly 10% of all admission tickets already sold and around 20% of Saturday Premium Hospitality places snapped up. Discounted earlybird prices are available only until 31 January, after which ticket prices will increase in line with the show’s tiered pricing structure.

Organised by Montserrat Events, Hampshire Air Festival will celebrate ‘The Age of Flight’ with a full weekend of flying and static displays, aviation heritage, re-enactors and family-friendly attractions, plus an extended evening programme on Saturday. The response from aviation fans and families across the region has underlined strong demand for a new, well-run and accessible airshow weekend in the south of England.

Both days of the Hampshire Air Festival will feature daytime flying displays and ground attractions, but Saturday’s ticket includes an additional evening extravaganza with pyro-aerobatics, a choreographed drone show, light display and fireworks after dark. This enhanced programme has helped drive particularly strong uptake in Premium Hospitality, with around a fifth of the available Saturday Premium places now booked during the discounted earlybird period.

Held at Thruxton Circuit and Aerodrome in Hampshire, close to the A303 and within easy reach of Wiltshire and Berkshire, the event is designed as a full day out with options to upgrade to hospitality or camping for those who want to extend their weekend. Earlybird admission tickets currently start from £27.50 for Sunday and £32.50 for Saturday, including the evening show, until 31 January.

The initial flying announcements reflect the festival’s ambition to tell the story of over 100 years of aviation in the air. Aircraft and displays confirmed so far include:

  • The Great War Display Team – meticulously crafted First World War replicas recreating the drama and daring of early aerial combat.
  • Rich Goodwin Airshows – the Jet Pitts Special G-JPIT, a heavily re-engineered Pitts S2S biplane fitted with twin jet engines, showcasing British innovation and hybrid performance.
  • DroneSwarm – a cutting-edge drone light show as part of the Saturday night spectacle, using a fleet of synchronised drones to tell a story in the night sky.
  • Bob Davy’s Yak-3 – a Yak-3UTI replica powered by a Pratt & Whitney R-1830 Twin Wasp, presenting the spirit of the legendary Eastern Front fighter with a distinctive Ukrainian-support scheme.
  • Supermarine Spitfire RR232 “City of Exeter” – a Mk IX Spitfire built in 1944, restored over 13 years and now operated by Spitfires.com at Goodwood Aerodrome, appearing in the aircraft’s 90th anniversary year.

Further aircraft representing different eras of The Age of Flight, including additional warbirds, aerobatic acts and more modern airframes, will be announced in the coming months.

Jonathan Moore, Founder & CEO of Montserrat Events and Event Organiser for Hampshire Air Festival, said:

“We have been genuinely encouraged by how many people have committed to joining us so early for our very first Hampshire Air Festival. To see nearly ten percent of our total admission tickets and around twenty percent of our Saturday Premium Hospitality already sold, 8 months before the show, tells us there is real appetite for a new, high-quality aviation weekend at Thruxton.”

“Our focus now is on continuing to build a flying programme that does justice to The Age of Flight, from the fragile machines of the Great War to the power of the Spitfire and the innovation of drones and hybrid jets. We want families, enthusiasts and first-time visitors alike to feel they are part of something special that can grow and return year after year, here in Hampshire.”

Earlybird admission tickets are available until 31 January at www.hampshireairfestival.co.uk, after which prices will increase.
