Lush to host its first ever Factory Freshness Sale in Poole this weekend

On Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th September, Lush is set to host its first ever factory freshness sale for the Dorset community.

The sale will take place at Lush’s Green Hub, Fleets Corner, Poole where shoppers will be able to purchase a range of Lush products which have passed the brand’s self-imposed freshness policy at a discounted rate.

Lush’s handmade cosmetic products which have passed the brand’s freshness policy will be sold at a 60% discount to the RRP plus attendees will also be able to browse and purchase other treasures from across the Lush business, finding them a new home - from wicker baskets and furniture items, to product packaging. 

Cadi Pink, Global Sustainability Manager, said: “At certain times of year, we can find ourselves with more surplus products than we are able to effectively donate to local charities and groups. While these products are not fresh enough to send to shops, they are still within their use by dates, and we want to make sure they can be enjoyed. We want to invite our local community to join us for our first ever factory freshness sale. They can pick up a bargain, meet some of our Lush team, and take a peek at the Green Hub to learn more about how we work to leave the world lusher than we found it.”

Lush believes all products are best used fresh and is proud of their freshness policy and being transparent about when products were made. From their UK Manufacturing hub in Poole, products are sent to stores within three months of being made, and customers can see the exact date their product was made on the label. This policy means that stores will always receive the highest quality products with fresh, active ingredients and beautiful colours and fragrance.

Occasionally, products do not make it to stores within this freshness policy window, and the Lush Green Hub team works hard to prevent these from becoming waste, by donating them to local charities, schools, and community interest projects - in 2024 alone Lush supported over 70, majority Dorset based charities, schools and community groups with product donations.

While visiting the Green Hub, attendees can also learn more about Lush’s work in the local area and beyond, with representatives on hand to answer questions and provide attendees with a window into one of Poole’s largest businesses.
