New Sauna proposed for SOBO Beach

The Saltwater Sauna have announced their new upcoming sauna site – Southbourne Beach!

The Saltwater Sauna is a Nordic bathing experience that brings together ancient wisdom with modern wellness techniques, featuring contrast therapy, heat exposure, cold immersion, & connection. Their application, submitted to BCP Council, plans to establish a new beachfront sauna at SOBO Beach in Southbourne.

This proposal contributes to the business’ vision to expand their wellness offerings which include guided rituals; salt inhalations, a scrub, steam aromatherapy infusions, thermal leaf whisking and masks.

The SOBO site will potentially feature a reception area, a space that fits 25 for communal sessions, outdoor showers and indoor changing & lockers. An upper deck has also been proposed with outdoor seating, public changing area. The community has been included in the plans with upgraded public toilets proposed for beach users to enjoy.

The Saltwater Sauna’s planning application, submitted to BCP Council, outlines the construction of a well-designed sauna facility that coincides with the coastal environment.

The new branch is a progression in The Saltwater Sauna's commitment to providing accessible wellness experiences that encourage social connection as well as personal rejuvenation. The company invites community members and wellness enthusiasts to support the initiative by submitting comments on the planning application through the BCP Council's planning portal.
