End of an era; Loch Fyne to close in Poole

Sad news that on 2nd October the wonderful Loch Fyne seafood restaurant in Canford Cliffs will close its doors and bid goodbye to its Poole customers.

The announcement, made earlier today, was accompanied by heartfelt thanks to those customers and good wishes for the new occupants.

The venue will be taken over by the London-based Metropolitan Pub Company and renamed The Anchorage, serving “mouth-watering new dishes” as well as seafood favourites. The company runs more than 60 pubs around the country, seven of them award-winning, including The Avocet in Ashley Cross.

According to the company website, The Anchorage, will be an “urban local… where our customers can expect warm and friendly service… a home away from home.”
