TGT Meets…Kirstyn Green - Sales & Marketing Manager for Individuality Swimming & Fitness

In this edition of TGT Meets, we catch up with the Sales & Marketing Manager at Individuality Swimming & Fitness to find out what life looks like behind the scenes of a fast-paced, family-run swim school.

How would you describe your role as Sales & Marketing Manager, and what does a typical day look like for you?

Every single day is different, from networking, to creating ads, to taking Chase from Paw Patrol to the pool! No day looks the same however they typically involve analysing data, creating campaigns, brainstorming and creating content for our platforms. My job is fast paced and always fun and exciting, especially when capturing all the happy moments at the pool when our swimmers reach new milestones and seeing the confidence grow with every splash.

What inspired you to work at Individuality Swimming & Fitness?

I was inspired to join Individuality because I have worked in the leisure industry since I was 16. After completing my degree, this role felt like the perfect next step in my career, and the opportunity to work for a growing family run business really stood out to me. The passion and personality behind the brand really stood out to me. 

What do you feel makes Individuality Swimming & Fitness stand out from other swim schools?

I think Individuality Swimming and fitness stand out because of how personalised the experience is, every swimmer is on their own journey and treated as an individual to help reach their specific needs and goals. Being a family run business makes a huge difference, and creates a warm, welcoming environment for customers. We are always ready to listen, adapt and continue improving. And of course, our unique offering of mermaid sessions and courses! This is such a fun concept and brings a bit of magic to the pool!

If you could invent a new “fun swim class” purely for laughs, what would you call it and what would it involve?

I would create an adult Paddleboard Pilates class. It would be about balance, wobbling, and laughing your way through simple Pilates movements on a paddleboard in the swimming pool and a guaranteed splash or two when someone tips over. It would be the perfect mix of fitness, fun, and slight chaos!

If you could swap roles with someone in the team for a day, who would it be and what would you most want to try?

If I could swap roles with someone in the team for a day it would be a parent and baby swim teacher. I’d love to see those early moments where little ones are getting comfortable in the water and growing in confidence.  

If you could teach a celebrity mermaid class, who would you choose and why?

If I could teach a celebrity mermaid class, I would choose Dwayne Johnson, Allison Hammond and Josie Gibson because of the entertainment and laughter this would bring!
