Atmosphere & Conditions
The atmosphere was simply amazing. Houses, cafes, and locals along the route came out in force to cheer; there were claps, cowbells, high-fives, and encouraging shouts. You could feel the buzz all the way from the start to the finish.
Even the weather played its part: mild conditions, no wind, and light cloud cover. It was ideal running weather; not too hot, not too cold and perfect for a strong race day.
Community Spirit & Local Support
What made the day extra special was the number of local runners and supporters. So many Total Dorset readers, TBN members, and local charity runners were out there, pushing themselves and cheering each other on. Elysia’s presence on the team was a lovely touch, and it was a joy to see her and so many familiar faces out on the course.
Charity fundraising was woven throughout the event, with participants raising money for local causes. It made the race more than a competition, it was a day of community giving and local pride.
