Then, on Saturday evening, the sky transforms for the spectacular ‘Age of Flight Extravaganza’—a breathtaking celebration featuring pyrotechnic aerial displays, a dazzling light show, illuminated drone formations, and a grand fireworks finale that lights up the Thruxton skyline.
You’ll find a strong mix of street food and bar vendors serving hot meals, snacks, soft drinks and refreshments across the site, giving you plenty of choice before and after the flying displays.
You’re welcome to bring your own picnic if you prefer. Some seating is provided around the site, but you should bring your own chairs and blankets to stay comfortable.
Camping at the Hampshire Air Festival allows visitors to stay onsite from Friday to Monday with valid event tickets, offering tent pitches as well as caravan and motorhome options, including some with electric hook-up. It provides a convenient base for the weekend with basic facilities, but standard tent pitches do not include electricity. Guests should also be aware that the camping area lies within the aircraft flight path, meaning it must be temporarily cleared during flying displays. Overall, it’s a simple, all-weekend camping setup designed for easy access to the festival.
