Shilvington and The Cosy Cow Sauna

Experience the charm of a working farm in a stunning countryside setting. Shilvington provides accommodation for the whole family, including a cosy holiday let, glamping experiences, and a welcoming caravan park.

Shilvington offers glamping, caravanning, and camping just 10 minutes from Chesil Beach on the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast, and 15 minutes from the golden sands of Weymouth and the coastal views of Portland.

Guests can also unwind at Shilvington’s Cozy Cow Sauna, a wood-fired sauna positioned to take in the surrounding landscape, offering a simple and peaceful space to relax and unwind.

Holiday Let

Shilvington Holiday Let is a charming semi-detached farm cottage sleeping up to six guests. The cottage features two double bedrooms (one en-suite), a twin room, a family bathroom, a cosy lounge with open fire and TV, and a fully equipped kitchen.

Guests can purchase Shilvington Beef and other local produce from the on-site honesty shop, relax in the private front garden with patio, BBQ, and outdoor seating, or hire the sauna during their stay (advance booking required).

Please note that dogs are not permitted in the holiday let.

Glamping

Shilvington partners with Feather Down, one of the UK’s leading glamping providers, to offer a luxury countryside escape. The site enjoys stunning views across Dorset’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The spacious safari tents are set close to the farmyard, where guests can meet cows, goats, pigs, hens, and ducks. Ideal for families, glamping combines the comfort and privacy of a fully equipped tent with a warm farm welcome. Home-cooked meals, Shilvington Beef, and local produce are available from the honesty shop.

Caravanning

Facilities include electric hook-ups, drinking water, a chemical disposal point, and freezer access. Guests can purchase fresh local produce, including home-produced eggs, bread, milk, burgers, steaks, bacon, sausages, and Shilvington Beef from the honesty shop.

Please note that shower and toilet facilities are not available on the campsite.

Cabins

Shilvington’s cabins offer a way to experience a sense of freedom, fresh air, and unhurried pace. Designed as privately owned retreats, they provide a quiet connection to the landscape for those who return to it often.

Thoughtfully placed within the surroundings, each cabin offers privacy, simplicity, and a calm place to unwind.

The Cozy Cow Sauna

Set within the Shilvington landscape, The Cozy Cow Sauna offers a calm, private space to slow down and unwind. This wood-fired sauna is positioned to take in the surrounding views, creating a simple setting for relaxation, with a cold shower available for a refreshing finish.

Private sessions accommodate up to six people and are open to both guests and visitors. Whether after a walk or as a standalone experience, it provides a peaceful opportunity to relax and reset.

Sessions are £55 for 60 minutes.

Alpaca Walks

Guests can meet Shilvington’s alpacas before enjoying a guided walk through the surrounding Dorset countryside. Henry leads the experience and shares insights along the way, helping guests learn more about these gentle animals.

Each session includes one alpaca for up to two people (£30), with additional guests at £10 each.

Available weekends and school holidays from Easter to October. All children under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult, and a safety waiver must be signed before the walk. Strictly no dogs.
